The following guest directory is designed to answer the most frequently asked questions, should you have any further questions, queries, comments or thoughts during your stay, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of the team who will be more than happy to assist.

Darlington is a town with artistic, musical, and sporting excellence at its heart.  While you are here you will have the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of shops, theatres, restaurants, and bars.  Alternatively, explore the many beautiful smaller villages in the surrounding area such as Yarm, known for its fine dining restaurants which are set in the village’s historical building.

FRONT DESK – Our Reception Team are available 24 hours a day.  Please dial 0. The Reception is open from 7.30am to 11pm, with Night Porter service 11pm to 7.30am.  If you require any help with your luggage, luggage storage (for up to 6 hours but not overnight), taxis, early morning call, express check out or a medical emergency please contact Reception by dialling ‘0’. We accept all major credit cards including MasterCard, Visa and Amex. We also have a Fax machine for your use at a charge.

IN ROOM AMENITIES – Rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, as well as a hairdryer, toiletries and towels.  Extra supplies, bottled water (chargeable), fans, and iron and ironing boards are available during your stay.  Other complimentary products are available 24 hours a day from the reception and are free of charge.  Check out is 11.00 am and check in is 2.30pm

FUNCTION AND MEETING ROOMS – The Croft provides modern, flexible facilities for all meetings and conferences, there are 3 meeting and function rooms, which can hold up to 200 guests, along with high speed internet access in all rooms and public areas. Our team can assist you to organise a company dinner dance, themed banquet or a gala ball.  Each event is treated individually to give you complete flexibility.  Please contact our Duty Manager.

GYM – Access to the Fitness Rooms complimentary when staying as a guest at the hotel.  Opening times: 24 hours.

WI-FI – This is available free of charge, please ask reception for a password and if you require any assistance.  We also have 24/7 help line.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES – Served in the Bar & Restaurant located on the ground floor.

BAR – Opening times: 08:00 till late

RESTAURANT – Breakfast times: 07:30–09:30 hours                               Dinner times: 18:00 – 20:30 hours

SNACK AND BEVERAGES – including bottled water are available at the reception 24 hours a day at a charge.

SMOKING – We operate a 100% NO SMOKING or VAPING policy inside the hotel premises. We kindly ask you to refrain from smoking in the bedrooms and public areas. If you are caught smoking in your room a fine of £100 will be applied to your bill to cover the cost of fumigating and servicing the room after departure.

VALUABLES – Guests are advised that the Management cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss of guest possessions. This includes items sent before arrival or left after departure.


  • On discovering a fire, please use the nearest telephone to contact the reception desk (0).
  • Close all doors and windows.
  • Proceed to the nearest safe exit and leave the building.


Immediately make your way out of the building using the nearest safe exit.


  • Do not stop to collect your personal belongings
  • Do not return to the building to collect personal belongings until instructed that it is safe to do so by the Fire Marshall.
